Service Engineer – Automatic Door Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Service Engineer to join a well‑established engineering firm that specialises in automatic door systems. The role is field‑based, covering commercial and industrial sites across the Exeter and Bristol areas, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience and strong technical development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance and repairs on automatic door, gate and barrier systems.
• Carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive fault‑finding tasks.
• Travel to client sites across the South West, primarily in Exeter, Bristol, Plymouth, Torquay, Taunton and Bridgwater.
• Document work performed and communicate findings to customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with doors, gates or barriers.
• Motivation to maximise earnings through overtime and bonus schemes.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to the Bristol/Exeter region.

Required skills

• Knowledge of automatic door systems.
