Service Engineer – Fire & Security (London & Surrey)

About the role

We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our Fire & Security Systems team, covering South London and Surrey. You will work remotely as a base and travel to client sites to deliver maintenance, installations and training.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance calls on‑site or by telephone as directed.
• Rectify faults on the first visit whenever possible.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance visits.
• Collect and record site configuration information and maintain accurate records.
• Provide out‑of‑hours cover on a rotating 24/7 call rota.
• Commission small projects when required.
• Conduct audits of quality procedures.
• Deliver training to customers and colleagues.
• Perform any additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Experience installing and servicing access control, CCTV, intruder alarm and fire alarm systems (ideally GENT).
• IT or Electrical/Electronic qualification.
• Broad technical IT knowledge, including Windows OS installation and networking.
• Understanding of basic electrical principles such as measuring voltage and current.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and participate in a 24/7 call rota.
