Service Engineer (Mobile – South London)

About the role

We are looking for a Service Engineer to provide technical support and maintenance for our ECI (Electrical Control Infrastructure) across South London. The role is mobile, field‑based and involves working with a range of industrial control and automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support for reactive and maintenance issues on ECI assets.
• Support due‑diligence, feasibility studies and options assessments for new technologies.
• Draft and maintain technical documentation and specifications for new solutions.
• Monitor KPI progress, manage ticketing, and escalate high‑risk issues.
• Ensure preventive‑maintenance schedules are uploaded, reviewed and reported weekly.
• Drive continuous‑improvement activities on the ECI FSM platform.
• Perform fault finding and support for network, PLC and SCADA systems.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Robotics or related discipline.
• HNC/HND or comparable qualification.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Industrial control systems – Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• SCADA and network systems support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, documents, Gantt charts and presentation tools.
