Service Engineers Mate

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Service Engineers Mate to support our engineering team during the installation, testing and servicing of machinery on client sites. The role is primarily site‑based, offering hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist service and commissioning engineers during installation, testing and commissioning of machinery on client sites.
• Carry out deliveries and collections using company vehicles and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Record site visits, generate basic reports and provide support to shop‑floor and office staff as required.
• Perform general site maintenance tasks such as painting, building work and cleaning, including jet‑washing after customer trials.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and UK passport.
• Enthusiastic, hard‑working and physically capable of manual tasks including lifting and bending.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using industrial hand tools.
