Service Manager – Automotive Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Southport automotive service department. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving operational efficiency and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise customer satisfaction by providing personalised, high‑quality service.
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers, ensuring service levels are met and identifying new business opportunities.
• Monitor department performance against budget, address shortfalls, and implement improvement plans.
• Provide guidance, training, and appraisals to the service team to foster a forward‑thinking culture.
• Encourage staff to recognise additional business opportunities through briefings and incentive systems.
• Recruit, select, train and develop staff as required.
• Ensure dealer standards, systems and procedures are complied with when commercially viable.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar role within the motor trade.
• Ambitious, target‑driven leader with a track record of exceeding targets.
• Strong ability to train, coach and motivate a service team.
• Customer‑focused with an uncompromising attitude to service excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
