Service Manager (Remote)

About the role

FDM Group is seeking a Service Manager to support a public‑sector client’s Flood and Coastal Risk Management programme. The role is remote, with occasional travel to sites such as Norfolk and Kent, and runs initially for 12 months with a possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all NEC4 Service Manager duties across multiple contracts, ensuring contract governance, commercial management and programme oversight.
• Administer NEC4 Professional Services Contracts using FastDraft, maintain accurate cost forecasts and financial reporting.
• Coordinate cost transfers, payment allocations and certify payments against project cost codes.
• Monitor contract performance, compliance and timelines, providing commercial advice to project teams.
• Support risk, issue and change management processes and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Service Management, Contract Management or Programme Management within infrastructure, environmental or public‑sector programmes.
• Strong knowledge of NEC4 contractual processes, especially NEC4 PSC contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
