Service Manager – Social Care (Edinburgh/West Lothian)

About the role

Randstad Care is looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead and develop its social care services across Edinburgh and West Lothian. This permanent, full‑time position offers a competitive salary and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of service users.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and expand existing and new social care services.
• Provide line management and supervision to Team Facilitators, fostering autonomous support teams.
• Oversee administration of Individual Service Funds and ensure robust financial management.
• Monitor service quality through audits and Quality Assurance systems, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Act as primary liaison with local authorities, health services and families, representing the organisation at external forums.
• Champion safe working practices and manage staff sickness and absence.
• Coordinate and participate in local on‑call duties as required.

Required profile

• Relevant management qualification or equivalent suitable for SSSC and Care Inspectorate registration.
• Proven experience managing social care services and supervising teams.
• Track record of developing and implementing strategic or operational plans.
• Strong understanding of the Personalisation agenda, Self‑Directed Support legislation and Scottish social services regulatory framework.
• Ability to manage complex workloads under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
