Service Technician – Automated Warehouse Systems

About the role

As a Service Technician at Element Logic you will be the hands‑on expert ensuring that customers’ automated warehouse systems operate at peak performance. You will carry out maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and support the installation of new equipment across sites in Southern England.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance in line with Element Logic manuals and standards.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment components using detailed service processes.
• Document all work accurately and communicate updates to the back‑office and team leader.
• Prepare clear service visit reports and technical operation documents for customers.
• Build strong customer relationships by understanding needs and promoting preventive maintenance.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory for service vans, customer sites, and internal stock.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in automation, robotics, conveyor systems or a similar field.
• Strong electrical knowledge – able to fault‑find and read electrical schematics.
• Mechanical competence – comfortable assembling and maintaining mechanical systems.
• Remote troubleshooting skills using provided software tools.
• Relevant certifications such as MEWP 3A & 3B and FLT (reach/counterbalance) preferred.
• Experience with RAMS documentation and the ability to edit it.
• Customer‑focused mindset with clear communication skills.
