Service Transition Manager (NPV3 Cleared) – £500-£550/day

About the role

This contract position sits at the heart of delivery, ensuring that new services transition smoothly from development into Business‑as‑Usual (BAU). You will work in a hybrid environment across multidisciplinary teams to guarantee technical, operational and security readiness before go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage end‑to‑end service transition activities aligned with programme milestones.
• Act as the central liaison between delivery and operational teams throughout the transition lifecycle.
• Drive readiness across technical, operational, security and service‑management workstreams.
• Coordinate release readiness, deployment planning and operational hand‑over activities.
• Identify, manage and mitigate transition risks, issues and dependencies.
• Ensure governance, documentation and audit requirements are met.
• Support adoption of new services into BAU operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering service transition within complex programmes.
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and transition governance.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams such as DevOps, SRE, QA and Operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and coordination abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational readiness, acceptance and go‑live activities.

What we offer
