ServiceNow Consultant – CMDB

About the role

Marshall Wolfe is recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services organisation for a ServiceNow Consultant focused on the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The role will be based in a hybrid model across Northampton, Knutsford, Manchester or Glasgow and will combine product ownership, strategic leadership and deep ServiceNow expertise to drive CMDB strategy, governance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the CMDB product roadmap, backlog and delivery plans.
• Drive continuous improvement across IT Service Management processes and standards.
• Develop KPIs, reporting and management information to measure CMDB effectiveness.
• Improve data governance, compliance monitoring, risk management and control frameworks.
• Produce and maintain process documentation, training materials and operational standards.
• Collaborate with technology, architecture and service management teams to align capabilities with business objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive ServiceNow CMDB experience, including CSDM, ITOM Discovery and IRE policy design.
• Strong product ownership experience in Agile environments, covering backlog management, release planning and OKR delivery.
• Proven expertise in data governance, data quality management, lineage, attestations and compliance monitoring.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams, technology stakeholders and third‑party vendors.
• Analytical, strategic thinking and risk‑management capabilities.
