ServiceNow Developer – NHS Digital Transformation (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer to join an Agile delivery team supporting NHS England’s digital transformation. The role is contract‑based, primarily remote with occasional office visits, and will focus on designing, building and optimising ServiceNow solutions that streamline business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow configurations.
• Design, develop, customise and configure the ServiceNow platform, including Proof of Concepts.
• Deliver enhancements that automate and improve processes across ITSM, CSM and other modules.
• Implement ServiceNow best practices, coding standards and development guidelines.
• Support architectural improvements, integrations with third‑party systems and new module implementations.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards and performance analytics.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure quality and successful deployments.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, automation and future platform upgrades.
• Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with ServiceNow development, configuration and customisation.
• Experience delivering solutions in the UK public sector or regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyse complex business requirements and produce scalable solutions.
• Desirable experience in the NHS or wider healthcare sector.
