Settlements Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Settlements Analyst to join a growing manufacturing business in Manchester. The role focuses on validating financial data, investigating discrepancies and delivering accurate reporting to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate invoices, costs and other financial data for accuracy.
• Perform detailed reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve data inaccuracies.
• Own data quality, ensuring information is up‑to‑date and reliable.
• Cleanse, process and analyse large volumes of business information.
• Produce regular reports and management information packs.
• Support development of internal systems and processes to improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance data performance.
• Prepare monthly reporting packs and analysis for senior management.

Required profile

• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (IF statements, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables).
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working across teams.
• Inquisitive mindset with the ability to resolve problems independently.
• Highly organised, capable of managing own workload and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable handling large data sets; VBA experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, finance or data analysis is beneficial.
