Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner – Integrated Service

About the role

The Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner will join the Northern Contraception, Sexual Health & HIV Service at the Hathersage Centre hub, delivering Level 3 contraception and sexual health care across Greater Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients independently within an integrated sexual and reproductive health service.
• Conduct symptomatic and asymptomatic screening, venepuncture and vaccination as an autonomous practitioner.
• Provide tailored sexual health advice and support health advisors.
• Administer hormonal contraception and related medicines under Patient Group Directions or as a non‑medical prescriber.
• Cover spoke clinics in Cheetham Hill, Newton Heath and Harpurhey as required.

Required profile

• Experience in sexual health, contraception and HIV care.
• DFSRH/STIF qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Competence aligned with NHS banding and clinical standards.
