Sheet Metal Worker – Glasgow

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team at BAE Systems in Glasgow. You will manufacture and install high‑quality sheet‑metal components for secure sites, working across day, night and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture and install sheet‑metal components, including ventilation systems and internal fittings.
• Interpret engineering drawings to measure, cut, shape and assemble materials using hand and power tools.
• Produce accurate, well‑finished work that meets required standards and quality expectations.
• Apply practical problem‑solving to resolve issues during manufacturing and installation.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to maintain a safe environment and keep projects on track.

Required profile

• Recognised Modern Apprenticeship, Trade Papers, or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, marine or other practical engineering environments.
• Understanding of SHE and COSHH requirements and safe working practices.
• Ability to work accurately with engineering drawings and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
