Shift Bank Receptionist

About the role

Join Cygnet’s Kewstoke hospital as a Shift Bank Receptionist, providing a warm and professional first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff in a therapeutic mental‑health environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, assign security keys, visitor IDs and alarms, and notify the appropriate staff member of arrivals.
• Manage the sign‑in and sign‑out process for visitors and record patient movements accurately.
• Answer, transfer and take messages on all incoming calls.
• Sort and distribute post, handle general office duties and keep the reception area tidy.
• Promote safety and security by ensuring all staff comply with security protocols.

Required profile

• Experienced receptionist/administrator comfortable liaising with service users and professionals.
• Organised, helpful multi‑tasker with an understanding of mental‑health environments.
• GCSE Maths and English qualified with strong numeracy and literacy.
• Attention to detail, confidentiality and a diligent work ethic.
