Shift Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – £47,000

About the role

We are seeking a Shift Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join a well‑established industrial manufacturing business in Thornton, Lancashire. The role forms part of a high‑performing engineering team responsible for the reliability and performance of a modern production facility.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure continuous plant operation.
• Work a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, covering days and nights, with 18 days off after each 7‑rotation cycle.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to support factory maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Full right to work in the UK.
• Minimum Level 3 engineering or electrical qualification.
• Previous experience as an E&I Technician in an industrial setting.
• PC and IT literacy.
• Desirable: HNC qualification.

Required skills

• Electrical systems knowledge.
• Instrumentation experience.
