Shift Engineer - Days and Nights Rotating Shifts

About the role

Albert Bartlett, a leading potato producer since 1948, is looking for a Shift Engineer to join its team. Working rotating day and night shifts, you will be at the heart of the production process, keeping machinery running efficiently while helping with troubleshooting, maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot production machinery during rotating day and night shifts.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues quickly.
• Support continuous improvement by spotting equipment optimisation opportunities.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and report on equipment performance.
• Follow all health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Experience as an engineer in a manufacturing or food production environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexibly on rotating day and night shifts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of industrial health and safety standards.
• Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship preferred.
