Shift Engineer – Hotel Maintenance (London)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Shift Engineer to join the engineering team of a prestigious 4‑star hotel in London. The role offers a varied day‑to‑day environment, allowing you to develop expertise in hotel plant operations and maintenance while enjoying global travel perks and bespoke training.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine preventative and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment.
• Operate, maintain and repair a wide range of hotel plant and mechanical systems.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels for maintenance supplies.
• Ensure high standards of workmanship on all tasks.
• Liaise daily with the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests.
• Assist external contractors with maintenance or construction projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Hotel Shift Engineer or in a similar maintenance role.
• Ability to work rotating shifts between 08:00‑20:00 and 20:00‑08:30, including weekends.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Pool plant operations experience (desired).
