Shift Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a mechanically or electrically biased Shift Engineer to join a leading building services provider at a high‑profile commercial site near London Bridge Station. The role offers a continental shift pattern, providing a good work‑life balance while delivering varied, technically challenging maintenance work.

Key responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance across building services systems.
• Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Maintenance of AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant.
• UPS systems and emergency lighting upkeep.
• BMS monitoring and operation.
• Fire alarm and sprinkler system maintenance.
• HVAC equipment servicing.
• Permit‑to‑work management.
• Health & Safety compliance.
• Site logbooks and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional, customer‑focused approach.
• HVAP qualification beneficial but not essential.
