Shift Lead Technician – HVAP

About the role

Join a high‑profile stadium in North West London as the Shift Lead Technician, overseeing critical building services in a 24/7 environment. You will lead shift operations, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain the reliability of essential M&E infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shift engineering activities within a mission‑critical venue.
• Monitor plant performance using Building Management System (BMS) and CAFM platforms.
• Ensure all Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), reactive tasks and statutory compliance are completed within SLA.
• Manage HVAP duties, including isolations, permits to work and safe systems of work.
• Oversee incident management, escalations and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, technical reports and operational documentation.
• Supervise contractors and engineering teams to deliver safe and efficient work.
• Support energy‑efficiency and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
• HV Authorised Person (HVAP) status – essential.
• Previous experience in a critical environment such as a data centre or high‑profile commercial site.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
