Shift Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a leading UK manufacturer of food‑based packaging products. Working on a Panama shift pattern (days & nights) at our Coalville site, you will maintain a wide range of production equipment ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and fault‑find corrugators, material handling conveyor systems (palletisers, strappers, wrappers) and box converting lines.
• Diagnose and repair PLC‑controlled print, cutting, stacking and folding units.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on inverters, drives, sensors, motors and packaging machinery.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety policies and company standards.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience working to planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Familiarity with PLCs, automated machinery and PPM systems.
• Ability to work on conveyors, drives, sensors and various packaging equipment.
