Shift Maintenance Engineer – Nights

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong Shift Maintenance Engineer to work in a fast‑paced, automated food/FMCG manufacturing environment on night shifts (Sunday‑Thursday). You will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault‑finding and planned preventative maintenance to maximise uptime and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault‑finding and planned preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery and site equipment.
• Ensure maximum uptime, reliability and performance of equipment during night shifts.

Required profile

• Electrical or mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast‑paced factory.
• Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred).
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills (single‑phase and three‑phase).
• Experience with motors, inverters and reading/updating electrical & mechanical drawings.
• Mechanical competence with pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Confident working safely to site procedures (LOTO) and H&S standards.
• Ability to support continuous improvement and carry out Root Cause Analysis.
• Comfortable recording and analysing downtime and maintenance data to improve OEE.
