About the role
The Shift Manager supports the Pub Manager and takes full responsibility for the pub’s operation during a shift. You will motivate, organise and support the team while ensuring excellent customer service across the bar and kitchen.
Key responsibilities
- Run a shift, ensuring compliance with company standards and legislation.
- Handle customer interactions, administration and cash management.
- Lead, support and motivate the team, prioritising tasks and delegating effectively.
- Work a variety of shifts, covering front‑of‑house and kitchen duties.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, product quality, service, maintenance and atmosphere.
Required profile
- Personality with a can‑do attitude and willingness to work hard.
- Ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts throughout the week.
- Comfortable working both behind the bar and in the kitchen.

- Starting salary of £29,013 per year (additional pay weighting at selected locations).
- 40‑hour working week with 28 days paid holiday.
