Shift Manager – Reverse Operations

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead the reverse‑operation at Langlands Park, supporting Sainsbury’s recycling and reuse activities. The role runs a 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern from 06:00 to 18:00 and is essential to maintaining efficient equipment management and repair support.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the tray‑wash and recycling operation during the night shift.
• Monitor headcount, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness to ensure optimal resource utilisation.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture in line with company policies.
• Drive performance management, KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Background in warehouse or operational management.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Proven experience leading teams, providing coaching and developing staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
