Shipping and Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Join a leading premium retail business on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract as a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator in London, managing domestic and international shipments to ensure efficient product movement across the supply chain. You will work closely with logistics partners, suppliers and internal teams to deliver operational excellence while maintaining compliance and high service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across domestic and international markets.
• Manage freight bookings with carriers, couriers and third‑party logistics providers.
• Prepare, review and maintain shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists and customs paperwork.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve transportation or customs issues.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and internal operational procedures.
• Liaise with suppliers, warehouses and internal teams to support product availability and timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records within ERP and logistics management systems.
• Support freight invoice reconciliation and logistics cost tracking.
• Coordinate stock transfers and inventory movements across locations.
• Produce logistics reports and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain or freight coordination.
• Experience in retail, luxury, premium consumer goods, fashion or a similar product‑based environment.
• Good understanding of import/export regulations and customs documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP or logistics management systems.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
