Shipping Lead

About the role

Assist in the day‑to‑day operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products while working closely with Warehouse Management in a highly regulated quality environment. The role collaborates with multiple departments to streamline processes, mitigate disruptions, and enhance overall operational efficiency for smooth warehouse activities.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through receiving, picking, packing, and shipping duties within the warehouse.
• Operate forklifts both inside the warehouse and in the yard.
• Check and receive goods from suppliers, offshore sources, and inter‑company transfers.
• Pick, pack, and prepare invoices for shipments to worksites.
• Maintain weekly shipping schedules, generate inventory reports, and control cycle counts.
• Lead daily team discussions, delegate tasks, and monitor on‑time delivery metrics.

Required profile

• Effective communication and teamwork with supervisors and coworkers.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Commitment to a clean, safe working environment and optimal space utilisation.
• Experience in supply‑and‑demand processes, inventory accuracy, and offshore mobilisation.

Required skills

• Forklift qualification (B1/P1/B2/B3).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Peoplesoft or Oracle ERP warehouse management systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
