Shop Supervisor (Part‑time, Sundays required)

About the role

Age UK is looking for a part‑time Shop Supervisor to lead its Haywards Heath store. You will work 20 hours a week, including every Sunday, ensuring a welcoming shopping environment while supporting the charity’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the store on Sundays, overseeing displays, stock presentation and cleanliness.
• Support sales, stock rotation and merchandising throughout the week.
• Handle cash, process transactions and maintain accurate tills.
• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager and step in as their deputy when required.
• Lift and move bags of stock up to 10 kg as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing retail role.
• Proven cash‑handling ability.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to cover additional days for holidays, sickness or special events.
• Commitment to equality, cultural sensitivity and the charity’s core values.

Required skills

• Physical ability to lift and carry stock up to 10 kg.
