Shopping Centre Manager / Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Shopping Centre Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a busy retail hub in Rochdale. You will be responsible for driving operational standards, commercial performance, and team effectiveness across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee smooth daily operation of the shopping centre, including facilities, cleaning and maintenance standards.
• Lead, support and develop on‑site teams such as security and facilities staff.
• Build and maintain positive occupier relationships, handling enquiries, compliance matters and negotiations.
• Support and deliver promotional campaigns and events to boost visitor engagement.
• Maximise retail performance through effective space utilisation and merchandising initiatives.
• Manage budgets, monitor expenditure and support financial performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Review operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Shopping Centre Manager, Retail Centre Manager, Centre Manager, Shopping Mall Manager, Operations Manager, Retail Operations Manager, Centre Operations Manager or Retail Property Manager.
• Leadership experience within a shopping centre, retail environment or multi‑site property management setting.
• Strong understanding of retail operations and commercial performance.
• Well‑organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach and knowledge of health and safety compliance in public‑facing environments.
