Short-Form Video Editor (Remote, UK hours)

About the role

Our client in the UK needs a Short-Form Video Editor to transform long‑form footage into scroll‑stopping TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. You will work remotely on UK business hours, delivering punchy, on‑brand videos that capture British humour and pacing.

Key responsibilities

• Review long‑form footage and extract the strongest moments, reactions and hooks.
• Edit high volumes of vertical video for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts to meet daily or weekly output targets.
• Write and time on‑screen captions, text overlays, hooks and calls‑to‑action that match the tone for a UK audience.
• Apply sound, music, trending audio, pacing and transitions appropriate for each platform.
• Produce multiple variations of a concept (different hooks, CTAs or cuts) for testing.
• Self‑check each video against the brief and brand guidelines before submission.
• Turn feedback around quickly, often within the same working day.

Required profile

• 2+ years editing short‑form social content, preferably for a consumer, entertainment or e‑commerce brand or agency.
• Portfolio or showreel of TikTok/Reels content with measurable performance.
• Excellent written and spoken English with a natural feel for British humour, slang and cultural references.
• Proven ability to work at pace and volume without losing quality.
• Reliable home setup, connectivity and availability during UK business hours.
