Short‑term Secondary Physics Teacher (Key Stage 3‑5)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced secondary Physics teacher to provide short‑term cover at our academy in Hackney. The role spans two separate weeks in September and October 2026, delivering lessons across Key Stage 3, 4 and A‑Level.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Physics to students at Key Stage 3, 4 and A Level.
- Follow the academy’s curriculum and maintain high teaching standards.
- Engage and motivate learners to achieve their potential.
- Manage classroom environment and maintain discipline.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- At least two satisfactory references.
- Available to start in September 2026.
- Previous experience teaching Physics at secondary level.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of the secondary Physics curriculum (Key Stage 3‑5).
- Ability to deliver GCSE and A‑Level Physics lessons.
What we offer
- Short‑term contract covering two weeks in September and October 2026.
- Daily rate of £220‑£250.
