Showroom Sales Assistant & Bench Locksmith

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Showroom Sales Assistant who can also act as a bench locksmith in our Guildford showroom. You will be the face of Banham Patent Locks, delivering high‑quality customer service while supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the showroom.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the showroom, perform daily checks and maintain presentation standards.
• Assist customers in‑person, by phone or email, providing clear advice on locks, safes, gates and related security products.
• Upsell and generate sales leads for retail and trade clients.
• Perform bench locksmith duties such as key cutting, lock servicing and pinning.
• Promote Banham’s survey and contract services, driving KPI targets for sales and leads.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Ability to follow company procedures, especially around key registration and security integrity.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and meet sales targets.
