Single Aisle Wing Value Stream Management Placement

About the role

This 12.5‑month placement with Airbus in Broughton, North Wales, offers undergraduate students hands‑on experience in the Single Aisle Wing Value Stream Management team. You will work alongside engineers and production staff, gaining insight into the full wing manufacturing lifecycle and its integration with global final‑assembly lines.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple departments and international assembly lines to develop communication skills in a global setting.
• Support engineering teams to understand wing design, assembly processes and technical improvements.
• Contribute to projects aimed at increasing production capacity and improving industrial flows.
• Explore and apply digital tools to optimise manufacturing processes.
• Participate in key initiatives focused on future wing production, including digital enhancements and workflow efficiency.
• Learn basics of project budgeting and cost management with team guidance.
• Assist in problem‑solving with teams and suppliers, investigating root causes and proposing solutions.

Required profile

• Undergraduate enrolment for the entire placement period, with graduation date disclosed.
• Degree studies in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, Computer Science or related fields.
• Tech‑savvy and eager to learn new digital tools.
