Site Agent – Structural Repair Projects

About the role

Balvac, the specialist structural repair and asset care business within Balfour Beatty, is seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead day‑to‑day operations on structural repair, strengthening and refurbishment projects across the UK. Based in Leeds, you will work on critical infrastructure schemes, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site teams to deliver multiple projects on schedule, within budget and to specification.
• Ensure compliance with Balfour Beatty policies, procedures and the Business Management System.
• Oversee site setting‑out, dimensional control and construction records.
• Develop and review risk assessments, method statements, PMPs, ITPs and Construction Phase Plans.
• Produce project programmes, track progress and drive productivity.
• Promote Zero Harm and behavioural safety initiatives.
• Apply Lean construction techniques, including daily visual meetings and BIM360Field.
• Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues proactively.

Required profile

• Experience delivering structural repair or specialist repair projects.
• Background in infrastructure or civil engineering works.
• Strong leadership, communication and team‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage scheme budgets and commercial elements.
• Robust understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
• Organised, proactive and committed to operational excellence.
