Site Engineer – Civil Engineering

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading tier‑1 construction and infrastructure contractor in the South East. Based in Chandlers Ford, you will work on high‑value civil engineering and infrastructure schemes across Hampshire and the surrounding region.

Key responsibilities

• Establish accurate control points and set out complex works using modern EDMs, Total Stations and GPS equipment.
• Maintain strict on‑site quality assurance, manage QA records, handle RFIs and resolve technical queries.
• Collaborate with the Sub Agent and Site Manager to supervise subcontractors and ensure works match design drawings and specifications.
• Promote a zero‑harm health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all H&S regulations.

Required profile

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience setting out on civil engineering or major infrastructure projects (groundworks, heavy RC structures, drainage, highways).
• Valid CSCS card; SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid certifications are desirable.
• Full UK driving licence for travel to multiple sites.
