Site Engineer

About the role

The Site Engineer will oversee the setting‑out, technical coordination and quality control of infrastructure and housing plots on residential developments across the North West. You will ensure roads, drainage and sub‑structure works are delivered safely, to specification and in line with approved drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Set out and supervise construction of estate roads, junctions, drainage networks and plot foundations.
• Maintain site control points, perform line and level checks and keep accurate as‑built records.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, resolve technical issues and liaise with the design team.
• Inspect and sign off drainage and sub‑structure works, supporting NHBC and local authority inspections.
• Coordinate groundworks and infrastructure subcontractors, monitor quality, productivity and review RAMS.
• Promote health and safety, enforce company H&S procedures and assist with site audits.

Required profile

• HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven site engineering experience in residential or civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of drainage, roads and foundations.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Total station operation.
• GPS equipment usage.
• Interpretation of technical drawings.
• AutoCAD knowledge.
• CSCS card.
