Site Manager – 6‑Month Contract in Kingston Upon Thames

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a six‑month external refurbishment and structural works programme in Kingston Upon Thames. The role involves managing steel balcony installations, re‑roofing, drainage and scaffold activities across residential and commercial properties. You will act as the Director’s on‑site representative, ensuring safety, quality and programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, including steel balcony, roofing, drainage and scaffold works.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site logistics to keep the programme on schedule.
• Conduct site inspections, quality control checks and health & safety audits.
• Maintain accurate daily diaries, progress reports and site documentation.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings for all site personnel.
• Monitor welfare facilities, housekeeping and overall site standards.
• Liaise with residents, clients, consultants and other stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• SMSTS certification.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential and/or commercial construction projects.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and make informed on‑site decisions.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
