Site Manager – Commercial Refurbishment (£46k‑£52k)

About the role

A well‑established Hampshire‑based contractor is seeking a Site Manager to lead a £900k commercial refurbishment scheme located between Reading and Basingstoke. The project is expected to start in approximately one month and will require ownership of day‑to‑day site delivery, subcontractor coordination, programme management and quality control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations on a £900k commercial refurbishment project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials and site logistics.
• Drive the programme to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and site presentation.
• Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, inspections and progress reporting.
• Liaise with the client, consultants and internal project team.
• Oversee snagging, finishing works and handover requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial refurbishment or fit‑out projects.
• Ability to take ownership of site delivery and coordinate multiple subcontractor packages.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and quality control processes.
• Effective communication with clients, consultants and internal teams.
