Site Manager – Drylining (2‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager specialising in drylining to lead a two‑month contract on a new care home development in Storrington, West Sussex. The role involves overseeing daily site activities, ensuring health and safety compliance, and delivering high‑quality interior fit‑out work on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all day‑to‑day site operations throughout the project.
• Supervise drylining packages including partitions, plasterboarding, suspended ceilings and related interior fit‑out works.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, material deliveries and site logistics to maintain the programme.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and snagging, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Prepare and review RAMS, permits to work and other site documentation.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Liaise with the client, project team and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues promptly and minimise delays.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in drylining or interior fit‑out projects.
• Strong knowledge of drylining systems, partitions, plasterboarding and suspended ceilings.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on live construction sites.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and quality assurance processes.
• SMSTS certification, CSCS Black or Gold Card, First Aid at Work and a full UK driving licence.
