Site Manager – Landscaping & Environmental Projects

About the role

The Site Manager will lead day‑to‑day activities on a major works contract in Aylesbury, overseeing landscaping, tree planting and maintenance. This hands‑on position involves planning, setting standards and working alongside the team to achieve them.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver site works including landscaping management, tree planting, seeding and maintenance.
• Plan daily work, ensure health & safety compliance, and manage plant, tools, materials and labour.
• Operate CPCS A33 tractor or excavator and towed attachments as required.
• Supervise subcontractors, conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and one‑to‑ones with direct reports.

Required profile

• Experience in landscaping, environmental or ecological projects and managing site teams.
• Valid CPCS A33 tractor or excavator ticket, SMSTS/SSSTS certification and a current CSCS card.
• First Aid at Work certification, full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Required skills

• CPCS A33 Agricultural Tractor operation.
• Excavator operation.
• SMSTS or SSSTS (minimum 3 years’ experience).
• CSCS card.
• First Aid at Work.
