Site Manager (Overhead Lines) – South & East Scotland

About the role

ScottishPower is seeking a Site Manager (Overhead Lines) to lead construction activities across multiple sites in South and East Scotland, including Edinburgh, Dumfries & Galloway and South Ayrshire. The role is site‑based with regular travel between project locations and offers a competitive salary up to £62,425.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage contractor programmes to meet project delivery timelines.
• Oversee construction and commissioning of new build, replacement and refurbishment overhead line projects.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations and environmental standards.
• Drive quality and environmental performance, implementing and monitoring mitigation measures.
• Support delivery of works across both distribution and transmission networks.

Required profile

• Proven experience on overhead line or transmission projects within utilities or infrastructure.
• Familiarity with projects across distribution and/or transmission networks (11kV – 400kV).
• Ability to lead and influence contractor‑led teams, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.
• Motivated to work in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary environment.
