Site Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role
Liberty Group is expanding its renewables division and seeks a Site Manager to lead the delivery of Air Source Heat Pump and Solar PV installation projects across Cambridge. The role involves overseeing multiple on‑site teams, ensuring safety, quality and timely completion.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day site operations for renewable installation projects.
- Oversee ASHP and Solar PV installations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and PAS 2030.
- Lead and coordinate multiple crews, including operatives and subcontractors.
- Plan, monitor and update project programmes and workloads.
- Ensure materials, labour and resources are available for scheduled works.
- Conduct site audits, inspections and quality checks to achieve defect‑free installations.
- Maintain high health & safety standards and ensure all documentation is completed.
- Capture and manage site data and evidence accurately.
- Liaise with clients, internal teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within renewables or planned works.
- Strong knowledge of ASHP and/or Solar PV installations.
- Experience managing multiple on‑site crews.
- Background in domestic projects, preferably social housing.
- Understanding of construction contracts such as JCT/NEC.
- Good grasp of health & safety regulations and compliance.
- Ability to manage programmes, resources and performance effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
