Site Manager – School Facilities

About the role

The School Site Manager will join a dedicated team responsible for the upkeep of a large secondary school campus. The role is ideal for a physically fit individual who enjoys a variety of manual tasks and is eager to learn on the job.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance across multiple school buildings and outdoor areas.
• Receive and distribute supplies, set up rooms for lessons and events.
• Carry out ground and gardening work to keep the campus tidy.
• Manage fire safety checks, legionella monitoring, first‑aid provision and site security.
• Complete COSHH reporting and other health‑and‑safety documentation.
• Work a four‑week rotating shift pattern, including weekends, to support community users.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks on a large site.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as part of the shift rotation.

What we offer

• Salary starting at £27,780 plus a 14% evening/weekend shift allowance.
