Site Manager – Water Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are recruiting Site Managers to deliver potable and wastewater infrastructure projects across Devon and West Dorset. The role is responsible for safe, quality‑assured delivery in line with client specifications and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the safe day‑to‑day set‑up and delivery of projects.
• Oversee site resources, including subcontractors and visiting support.
• Liaise with the Project Manager on performance and reporting.
• Adhere to Network Plus SHEQW requirements and ensure all documentation (RAMS, waste management, CPP, COSHH, programme, street‑works notices, communications) is up to date.
• Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Maintain daily liaison with Contract Manager, Operations and Client Lead.
• Prepare monthly progress and financial reports.
• Manage commercial aspects such as EW, instructions and change control.
• Plan and manage handover and commissioning of new assets.
• Arrange and chair weekly site meetings and attend monthly site meetings.
• Update the contract P6 programme monthly and compile short‑term site programmes.

Required profile

• Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction.
• Knowledge of resource management, monitoring and control, and cost planning techniques.
• Health & Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or similar).
• Awareness of NRSWA and Temporary Works Regulations.
• Financial awareness (TWC/S).
• Understanding of CDM 2015, H&S at Work Act 1974 and NEC4 contract conditions.
• Experience with deep excavations, civils, drainage, structures and water‑based schemes.
