Site / Project Engineer – SMSTS/SSSTS – Permanent

About the role

We are seeking a Site/Project Engineer to join a fast‑growing engineering firm operating in the UK construction and energy sector. The role offers a hybrid mix of design coordination, CAD modelling and on‑site delivery for high‑voltage infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with clients such as National Grid and DNOs, supporting communication between site, design and project teams.
• Coordinate topographical, environmental and utility surveys and produce 2D/3D CAD drawings.
• Prepare technical documentation including method statements, construction phase plans and risk assessments.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries and supply‑chain interfaces to ensure safe, efficient progress.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives and support SHEQ standards.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and site safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience on live construction or infrastructure projects in an engineering or supervisory role.
• Practical understanding of site‑based project delivery and ability to travel nationwide.
• Full UK driving licence.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Civil 3D or MicroStation.
