Site Reliability Engineer – Observability & Performance

About the role

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to lead observability and performance initiatives across Java applications, middleware and Linux infrastructure. The role will focus on monitoring, performance analysis and reliability engineering within a complex enterprise platform, initially on‑premise with a future AWS migration.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enhance observability using Grafana across Java, middleware and Linux components.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting and telemetry solutions.
• Perform JVM performance analysis, garbage‑collection tuning and thread investigation.
• Support messaging technologies such as ActiveMQ, Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Administer Linux systems (CentOS/RHEL), including patching, package management and security remediation.
• Build deployment automation and configuration‑management pipelines.
• Create Bash and Python scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Resolve production incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform or Systems Engineering.
• Strong background in observability, monitoring and alerting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot Java applications and JVM performance.
• Experience with messaging platforms (ActiveMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Solid Linux administration skills (CentOS/RHEL).
• Expertise in automation and configuration‑management tools.
• Proficient scripting in Bash and Python.
• Experience supporting production systems and managing incidents.
