Site Services Operative

About the role

Alfred H Knight is seeking a Site Services Operative to join the Facilities team at the Lea Green site in St Helens. This hands‑on position ensures the site runs smoothly, safely and efficiently, covering general maintenance, housekeeping, logistics support and day‑to‑day site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a varied mix of general maintenance, repairs and housekeeping tasks across the site.
• Provide logistics support including loading/unloading deliveries, stock movement and operating a forklift.
• Assist with site operations such as safe waste handling, site lock‑up procedures and out‑of‑hours call‑outs when required.

Required profile

• Valid, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel between North West sites.
• Strong self‑motivation, attention to detail and a flexible attitude for occasional out‑of‑hours work.
• High regard for health, safety and environmental procedures.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (or willingness to obtain a licence).
• Experience using computerised management systems such as CMMS for stock and spare‑part tracking.
• Practical experience in general maintenance and safe waste handling.
