Site Services & Utilities Coordinator

About the role

The Site Services & Utilities Coordinator is responsible for the safe, compliant and reliable operation of all facilities, services and utilities at BASF’s Widnes manufacturing site. You will ensure day‑to‑day continuity while maintaining audit readiness and supporting engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate site facilities, services and utilities in line with BASF standards and legal requirements.
• Oversee maintenance and integrity of building systems such as electrical, HVAC, water and compressed‑air, planning inspections, preventive maintenance and upgrades through external contractors.
• Lead and manage external service providers (cleaning, grounds, mobile equipment, inspections) to ensure service quality, SLA compliance and cost control.
• Maintain compliance documentation, certificates, RAMS, insurances and CMMS records, ensuring they are accurate, traceable and approved before work starts.
• Support engineering and infrastructure projects by providing technical coordination for utilities planning, improvement works and breakdown response.

Required profile

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a technical discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical or Utilities Management.
• Proven experience coordinating site services and utilities in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of health‑and‑safety regulations, statutory compliance and audit readiness.
• Ability to manage external contractors and service contracts effectively.
