Site Supervisor – School Facilities Management

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Site Supervisor to ensure the safety and smooth operation of a local school in South Lancaster. The role starts on 1 September 2026 with a 12‑week trial period and the possibility of permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as key holder, managing security procedures for buildings and grounds, including routine and emergency openings.
• Respond to after‑hours alarms or break‑ins and provide access during weather‑related emergencies.
• Coordinate with the Local Education Authority, contractors, and visitors, informing the Headteacher as needed.
• Supervise cleaning staff to maintain high standards across all school areas.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a supervisory or facilities‑management role.
• Ability to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, contractors, and authority representatives.
• Physically capable of handling tasks associated with opening and securing large buildings and grounds.
