Sixth Form & SEND Administrator (Term Time Only)

About the role

This permanent, term‑time position supports both the Sixth Form and the SEND department of a thriving secondary school. Working closely with the Head of Sixth Form and the Assistant Principal/SENCo, you will help students achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and organisational support to the Head of Sixth Form.
• Supervise study periods, promote independent learning and monitor attendance.
• Assist with student wellbeing, pastoral care and attendance interventions.
• Coordinate Sixth Form applications, university visits and UCAS processes.
• Organise events such as Open Evenings, Parents’ Evenings and Induction Day.
• Manage the SENCo diary, arrange EHCP Annual Reviews and take accurate minutes.
• Maintain the SEND register and student databases, including SIMS and Arbor.
• Ensure GDPR‑compliant handling of SEND records and support funding applications.
• Act as a primary contact for parents, carers and external professionals.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Compassionate and proactive approach to student support.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff and families.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced school environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SIMS school management system.
• Experience using Arbor for SEND data management.
