Skilled Deburrer – Precision Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Deburrer to join a well‑established precision engineering manufacturer in Ferndown, Dorset. The role is temporary with the potential to extend, offering a stable 39‑hour week in a modern production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deburr precision‑machined components using a range of hand and power tools.
• Remove sharp edges, burrs and surface imperfections to exact specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions to guide work.
• Conduct visual inspections to verify component quality.
• Handle various metal parts safely and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
• Collaborate with machining and quality teams to meet production deadlines.

Required profile

• Previous experience in deburring, fettling or finishing within an engineering or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality output.
• Good manual dexterity and a reliable, flexible work approach.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.50‑£14.50 with overtime paid at 1.5×.
